1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. Specifically, ClearHome Calculator does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Financial details you enter (home price, income, loan amount, etc.) — these exist only in your device's memory while the app is open
• Your location or geographic data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or tracking tokens
• Usage analytics, session data, or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic information transmitted to us

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The Scenarios feature allows you to save mortgage scenarios for comparison. This data is stored exclusively using AsyncStorage on your own device and is never transmitted to any server. It includes:

• Scenario names you create (e.g., "20% Down Scenario")
• Mortgage calculation inputs you save (home price, rate, term, income, state)

This data remains on your device. You can delete it at any time by deleting individual scenarios within the app, or by uninstalling the application.

3. External Data — Mortgage Rate Fetching

The Rates screen fetches publicly available mortgage rate data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) public API:

• Data fetched: Weekly Freddie Mac PMMS averages for 30-year fixed, 15-year fixed, and 5/1 ARM rates
• API endpoint: fred.stlouisfed.org (public, unauthenticated CSV endpoint)
• No user data sent: The request contains no personal information, no device identifiers, and no user-identifiable data
• Purpose: Informational only — to display current market rate context

This is equivalent to visiting a public government website. The Federal Reserve's privacy policy governs their data practices; we do not control or receive any information from that interaction.

4. No Tracking, Analytics, or Advertising

ClearHome Calculator does not include:

• Third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
• Advertising networks or ad tracking (no Meta, Google Ads, etc.)
• Crash reporting services that transmit data off-device
• Social media SDKs or sharing pixels
• Any form of cross-app or cross-site tracking

5. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service accessed by this app is the Federal Reserve FRED public data API (fred.stlouisfed.org), solely for mortgage rate data as described above. We have no data-sharing agreements with any third parties.

When you tap a state housing program link or loan type link in the Resources section, you will be directed to official government or agency websites (e.g., state Housing Finance Agency sites, HUD.gov, VA.gov). Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ClearHome Calculator is a financial planning tool intended for adults (18 years of age and older) considering purchasing a home. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any user, there is no data to collect from minors.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please be assured that no personal data was collected or transmitted.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to: know what personal information is collected; delete personal information; opt out of the sale of personal information; and non-discrimination.

Because ClearHome Calculator collects no personal information whatsoever, there is nothing to disclose, delete, or sell. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

California residents may still contact us with privacy inquiries at the address below. We will respond within 45 days.

8. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), individuals have rights including: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), data portability, and objection to processing.

Because ClearHome Calculator does not collect or process personal data, no lawful basis for processing is required and there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete on our end. The app does not involve automated decision-making or profiling based on personal data.

EU/EEA residents may contact our privacy team with inquiries. We will acknowledge requests within 72 hours and respond fully within 30 days.

9. Data Security

Because no personal data is collected or transmitted by ClearHome Calculator, the primary data security consideration is the locally stored scenario data on your device. This data is protected by your device's standard security mechanisms (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption).

We recommend keeping your device's operating system and this app updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain no data on any server because we collect none. Locally stored scenario data on your device persists until you:

• Delete individual scenarios within the app's Scenarios tab
• Uninstall the application from your device
• Clear the app's storage via your device's application settings

To request written confirmation that no data about you exists on our systems, contact us at the email below. We will confirm within 30 days.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where required by law, provide notice within the app or via other appropriate means.

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
